At Lake Gagga, the work to replace the old hydro electric tunnel has started. One of the valves have been opened by the power company, letting quite a lot of water pass the dam.
As most of you may remember, Norway (and other salmon fishing parts of Europe) experienced a massive increase in catches of pink salmon in 2017. This came as a surprise to most, and since the pink salmon has a two year life-span, we are worried we might experience similar conditions in 2019.
We're allready well into April, the sunrays are getting warmer and the puddles are getting increasingly bigger in Lakselv. Despite this, the weather is still quite cold, so there is no real snow-melt to consider yet.
