Karhukostet

Karhukostet, often referred to as Bear Pool by our English speaking friends, is one of the true holding pools in zone 1. It's a relatively slow and nice glide, fished best from the east bank - both because you present the fly better from this side, but also because it's easier to access from this side.

Karhukostet, often referred to as Bear Pool by our English speaking friends, is one of the true holding pools in zone 1. It's a relatively slow and nice glide, fished best from the east bank - both because you present the fly better from this side, but also because it's easier to access from this side. Karhukostet would be one of those place where we could have put up a "no wading"-sign, as that will almost guarantee to cause more harm than good. Fish the entire bend, and all the way down, as fish will hold pretty much everywhere around here.

Downstream of the benk, you will see a small point sticking in, and here the pool gets very deep. This is one of the places you're almost destined to see fish showing, and also a place where a lot of fish holds up.
