Uuenväylänsuanto (often referred to as simply Suanto) is one of the best-known pools in zone 3. The pool is a walk from the nearest parking spot, but well worth the walk. Suanto has a very prominent current towards the west bank. Fishing it from the east side, as most people do, adds some challenge in presenting the fly, as your flyline will get a very prominent bend. Fishing it form the east bank, will also add some challenge, and it's all about the mend fishing it from both banks. There's a shelter here, open for everyone in the area.

Suanto is fishable all the way through, and could offer fish from way up into the heavier current at the top, and all the way down towards the neck. 

At the top of Suanto, there are two runs coming together, and then the pool is split again at the bottom, sending the river in two separate directions.
